Men's Ministry

Welcome to Evangel’s Men’s Ministry Page. We at Evangel have designed a ministry for men based upon the ideals laid out by the Apostle Paul in his instructions to Timothy. The following Scripture reading forms the backdrop for our Men’s ministry:

“So, my son, throw yourself into this work for Christ. Pass on what you heard from me-the whole congregation saying Amen! - To reliable leaders who are competent to teach others. When the going gets rough, take it on the chin with the rest of us the way Jesus did.”
2 Timothy 2:1-3

The Men’s ministry at Evangel is designed to produce enablers. We invest time, and effort in the lives of our men so that they are completely and faithfully instructed in the things of Christ and our Faith. This is made possible by giving out sermon notes and tapes, opportunities to attend seminars and having training classes. The goal of this ministry is to ground our men and make them fully equipped as soldiers who are ready to serve the King of kings.

Once equipped, the ministry hopes to provide opportunities for these men to pass on what they have received thus enabling others to become productive members of the community of Christ. We look at the Christian life as a long running relay race. Each man at Evangel is given a baton and they are expected to run their laps faithfully and to successfully hand that baton to others who will in turn carry on the race to its completion on the day of Christ’s return. At Evangel, there are no superstars, but we prepare men who will do their part to bring success to the team!
